High school senior Wendy Christensen is celebrating graduation at a local amusement park with her friends. As they board a roller coaster, she has a terrifying premonition of the ride derailing and killing everyone on board. Her frantic warning causes several people, including her friends and other classmates, to disembark just before the deadly accident occurs. While the survivors are initially grateful, their relief turns to terror as they begin to die in increasingly bizarre and gruesome "accidents" that correspond to the way they would have died on the roller coaster. Wendy, along with fellow survivor Kevin Fischer, must use clues from her photographs of the premonition to try and predict Death's next move and somehow save themselves and the remaining survivors from their inescapable fates.
